Introduction
Ted started his own practice in Landscape Architecture in 1977. He became a Fellow in the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects in 1992 and Chair of the College of Fellows from 2011 to 2013. He has taught at both Ryerson University and at the University of Toronto, as well as being a regular guest lecturer at Niagara College. In addition to his accomplishments in Landscape Architecture, Ted Baker has participated in the design and renovation of over two dozen highly acclaimed golf courses across Canada.
He is a founding member of the Stanley Thompson Society which was established to preserve the works of renowned golf course architect, Stanley Thompson. From 2007 to 2010, Ted was also a member of the City of Mississauga Urban Design Advisory Panel. Ted’s work continues to cover a diverse spectrum, from the GTA to the United Arab Emirates and China. He leads the design for many of the firm’s projects in new community master planning, club house site design, resort planning, park planning and streetscape design.
