Albert’s career began with academic brilliance. He graduated with honors from the world-renowned University of Toronto in 2001, receiving the highly prestigious American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) award for outstanding graduates. This honor not only represented the highest affirmation of his academic achievements but also foreshadowed his future prominence in the field of landscape design.

After graduation, Albert began his professional career in Toronto. Subsequently, he joined the internationally renowned landscape design and planning firm Belt Collins, where he spent the golden years of his career. During his tenure at Belt Collins, he demonstrated exceptional design talent and leadership capabilities, rising from lead designer to hold key positions such as Regional Director, Principal Designer, and Vice President between 2008 and 2014.

Under his leadership, Belt Collins successfully completed over 300 projects across the Asia-Pacific region and globally, including a series of highly acclaimed and award-winning international projects. These projects encompassed high-end hotels, luxury resorts, large commercial complexes, and residential developments, fully showcasing his extraordinary ability to manage complex projects, realize diverse creative design concepts, and ensure their feasibility and success. His professional experience spans residential landscape design, integrated development, resort planning, and tourism project master planning, enabling him to review and optimize design solutions from various scales and perspectives.

Driven by a passion for innovative design, green principles, and excellent collaboration, Albert founded Cohere Design in Hong Kong in 2015. The company quickly gained recognition for its international vision rooted in Hong Kong and looking globally, as well as its emphasis on an “interactive, collaborative” design process.

Under Albert’s leadership, Cohere Design placed green living, eco-friendly design concepts, and sustainable development at the core of its design philosophy. He particularly demonstrated exceptional ability in integrating ecological intelligence, energy conservation, and emission reduction with the enhancement of green living in projects such as “Nina Park.” Through innovative landscape approaches, he is committed to creating spaces that possess aesthetic value, ecological functionality, and promote community health and sustainable development.

In addition to embodying a commitment to social responsibility through his projects, Albert also holds leadership roles in several important public service organizations, showcasing his enthusiasm and practical efforts to give back to society: He currently serves as Vice President of LEAPS (Landscape Architects, Engineers, Architects, Planners & Surveyors) dedicated to promoting youth development and leadership training, injecting vitality into the growth of the next generation. He is also Vice President of the Origin Charity Foundation, focusing on supporting the welfare and education of underprivileged communities. Furthermore, as a Director of Utopian Charity Limited (大同慈善之友), he actively participates in various charitable activities, contributing to the promotion of social harmony and equity.

Notably, Albert is also a charter member of The Rotary Club of Butterfly Valley, where he worked with the founders to lay the foundation for the organization’s community service, dedicated to promoting neighborly mutual support and community care.
