Harmonizing Millennial Heritage with Modern Chic

The landscape design concept for the Sheraton Taizhou Hotel artfully blends “Millennial Heritage 千年風貌” with a “Modern International 現代國際” style, aiming to create a luxurious, secluded retreat for guests, a haven away from the hustle and bustle. Situated on the banks of the Yongning River, the design draws inspiration from the simplicity, purity, and tranquility of the Jiangnan water towns, incorporating the natural and cultural essence of the Yangtze River Delta region into a contemporary space.

In its design, the hotel cultivates a strong sense of community through a series of thoughtfully planned elements. For example, the water feature sculpture outside the hotel’s main entrance is inspired by the “waves” of the Yongning River, symbolizing the rising tide of the East, creating a uniquely vibrant and dynamic atmosphere for guests. Indoor public spaces, such as communal tables, studios, and telephone booths, are not only functionally complete but also enhance the interaction and practicality of the space through an open and intuitive design.

Furthermore, the hotel’s guest rooms, with their floor-to-ceiling windows, offer panoramic views of the Yongning River, allowing guests to experience the texture of the city and appreciate the harmonious dialogue between nature and architecture even while indoors. The overall design is dominated by light wood tones and soft decorations, creating a warm and elegant home-like ambiance.
